Text Box: Kid’s Day Text Box: Kid’s Day 2011 Our Kids day event was a great success again this year! We had 72 kids participate and over 270 fish caught. The biggest entered was 13 inches and the smallest was 3 inches. It was a very hot day but the kids stuck it out and fished the whole two hours, with little to no complaining about the heat. All in all, everyone had a great time. A big thank you goes out to all our volunteers who battled the heat to make the event a great success. The heat seemed unbearable but seeing the excitement of al kid catching a fish (many For the first time), is very rewarding! Ray and Katie Wheelock saved the day with Freeze Pops to Help keep everyone cool. A special thanks to Snagger’s son and grandson for the great babysitting they did. I think the day would have been a lot different without everyone’s help.
